Lisa Montes

Overnight Veterinary Technician

Lisa started working in a pet store when she was 25 yrs old where she was introduced to a wide variety of animals including fish, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, lizards, spiders and small dogs. After five years in that role, she decided to pursue her passion for animal care and enrolled in the veterinary technician training program at Western Career College. Lisa successfully achieved her goals and became a licensed veterinary technician. She spent 18 years working in a general veterinary practice in Berkeley before joining the emergency team at NPVEC. Today Lisa plays a vital role in the overnight team, providing exceptional care to her patients and helping ensure NPVEC remains open and ready for emergency care throughout the night. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys cooking,  knitting,  crocheting, listening to music and gardening.
