Dr. Hana Link‘s childhood dream was to become a veterinarian, a goal from which she never wavered. It is hard to say when her calling originated, but a lifetime of owning cats, dogs, mice and rabbits certainly contributed. Dr. Hana Link graduated with a B.S. in Biology from the University of San Diego. She received her D.V.M from the University of California at Davis (UCD) in 2018. She enjoys both emergency and general practice, and takes a special interest in rabbit medicine.
During her veterinary training, Dr. Link participated in and was co-director of the UCD One Health Institute’s (OHI) student-led program working in Nicaragua. These students, together with OHI professors traveled to Nicaragua and worked in the community utilizing education and sustainable veterinary solutions to alleviate poverty in Sabana Grande, a rural Nicaraguan village. She has spent time volunteering with several animal shelters, the SPCA Fiji Islands, and various rabbit rescue organizations. Dr. Link loves her job: the clients, her colleagues, the endless learning, and most of all, the joy of working with animals.
A lifelong California resident, Dr. Link enjoys skiing, hiking, swimming, and exploring nature at every opportunity. At home, she has a majestic orange cat, Mars, and three rabbits: BunBun, Momo, and Oreo.
